The CPA Global Service Awards is an event for some of the best staff (voted for in-house) that CPA Global have in their office’s all around the world. 3D Performance organised all the nominee’s to fly to Jersey and take part in couple of days activities that would reinforce the companies values – Taking Ownership, Succeeding Together and Achieving Excellence.

The first day was hosted at Elizabeth Castle and featured various tasks that pushed themselves in character, ability and skill as well as bringing in the company values. We filmed the entire day and spent the evening/night capturing and editing. We’d planned ahead and built the motion elements earlier that week as we knew the turnaround would be tight as the final video was to be shown the evening of the second day at the Awards ceremony. The morning of the second day was spent filming the nominee’s Dragonboat racing in St.Helier harbour which was captured and cut into the previous day’s edit. Music and some sound effects for the motion were added and the final video was supplied at the venue of the award show, a mere 34 hours after filming began.

Check it out, retweet if ya like and please leave a comment!

We were recently instructed to design a range of materials for a private clients Birthday Party. The Theme was Alice in Wonderland (Alison’s Wonderland). The client wanted a vintage theme based closeley to the original Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson to his mates)masterpiece. The following images are for the invitation but there are many parts to this cracking job which will be updated as soon as they are back from the finishers. All of these invitations were crafted by our fair hands using only; Antique alabaster materials, Scalpels and Diamond stickers which was truly refreshing to take a step back from the Trusty Apple Mac.

Concertina spread from the micro booklet invite. Sweet!

Macro of the detail in the design and type.

Illustration of Alice getting a bit lively. Too many Stella’s perhaps.

We have recently been experimenting with classic techniques such as Quilling (The art of paper rolling and folding to create beautiful shapes) for the Jersey Arts Trust – Artists Directory.

Initially, we started to make the artwork by hand but due to deadline demands had to come up with a plan to speed up the process. The visuals were all drawn up by Paul at The Observatory as a series of bezier curves which were then stylised into the typography.

Once the Illustrator files were complete we passed them onto Robbie (The Render Machine) to work his 3D magic in Cinema 4d.

This allowed us to create the desired effect at a fraction of the time it would have taken to build by hand with the same home made look and feel. The finished visuals

will appear in the JAT Directory which is free for all Islanders and will be available on Monday 31st May in various locations such as; Arts Center, The Bean, JAT HQ and various

retailers across the Island. Grab your free copy and please let us know what you think.

We have seen a lot of activity in the 2.0 world in the recent past, specifically in ...

We have seen a lot of activity in the 2.0 world in the recent past, specifically in the social media arena, with a shift towards social strategy and social business design. No longer happy to be ‘sold at’, or ‘talked to’…customers now want to engage with brands and expect trust to be earned.

The Social Networking revolution is just getting started
Technology won’t stop evolving – from the static / info-centric Web1.0, to the hyper-collaborative web2.0 it seems that technology-enabled change is definitely here to stay, therefore we (i.e. the entrepreneurs, investors and service providers) must evolve our business models accordingly. Those of us that adapt will survive and thrive. Those that don’t will find themselves facing extinction. It’s no longer a question of whether collaboration platforms will have an impact—the real question is how to best harness that impact and gain an advantage.

Key Changes to Adapt

Plan – Without a strategy your social media marketing can pull you in all directions. Identify your objectives and the channels in which to reach your customers before embarking on the change process.

Invest the Time in Changing Processes

Social business is not a quick fix solution, rather a long term adoption and a shift in your internal communication process. Expecting it to happen overnight defeats the social business model. Be Transparent in Communication –Social media has given the consumer a voice and you can no longer control what is said about your business. It is up to you be out there to listen, track and respond. Be Part of the Conversation – Assess the social media tools in terms of your goals and be present where it makes sense to be part of the conversation.

Change Results

The benefits you receive by employing social media depend on the nature of your objectives and the tools you use to implement them.
You can expect to: build relationships; monitor your customer care; increase customer base; become a thought leader in your field; generate positive search engine results; reach new channels of customers; generate more traffic to your website…There are endless positive results for those who willing to invest in social business.

The Future

As the online world evolves participation is mandatory. Your customers are already there..it’s time to learn the new rules of marketing and stop thinking vertically. Take the opportunity to expand and grow in new directions because social media is here to stay.

About Us

Bright Social Media is dedicated to helping businesses grow in the new marketing sphere. Speaking in layman’s terms we can direct you through the social web with advice, training and expertise.
Contact Bright Social Media(Katrina@brightsocialmedia.com) to see how we can develop your business in the social landscape.

Architect Paul Rudolph (1918-1997) was known for his much-loved (and loathed) Brutalist yet spatially complex buildings. As one of the pioneering figures of the ‘Sarasota School of Architecture’ in the late 1940s, Rudolph gained a worldwide audience with his innovative design for the modern American home. His best known architectural masterpieces are the Yale School of Architecture, the Boston Government Center and the Crawford Manor. By the late 70’s and into the 90’s, Rudolph who was unmoved by the Post-modern dominance in architecture, steadfastly continued to design powerful Modernist structures now gracing the urban skylines of the Far East.

Comedy and creative ads for your amusement

In today’s modern life advertisement plays a key role in order for any company or product to succeed. The ad must deliver a powerful, coherant message which attracts the consumer’s attention. These are a collection of creative and also very funny advertisements which are granted to catch your attention and make you giggle. I believe that in order to have a good marketing campaign for any product or service humour is the route to take, people always remember something which brought a smile to their face.
