What is Visual Culture.

Objective: “To thrive and engage through mutual flexibility and talent.”

Visual Culture is the future for design. Through technological advancement, smaller agencies bursting with talent are now disregarding traditional boundaries of time and geography and working creatively on a worldwide scale. The sharing of skills, talents, exploratory creative work, digital movements and inspiring work now has no limitations. Welcome to The Observatory Visual Culture.

CPA Global Service Awards – Mission Possible

The CPA Global Service Awards is an event for some of the best staff (voted for in-house) that CPA Global have in their office’s all around the world. 3D Performance organised all the nominee’s to fly to Jersey and take part in couple of days activities that would reinforce the companies values – Taking Ownership, Succeeding Together and Achieving Excellence.

The first day was hosted at Elizabeth Castle and featured various tasks that pushed themselves in character, ability and skill as well as bringing in the company values. We filmed the entire day and spent the evening/night capturing and editing. We’d planned ahead and built the motion elements earlier that week as we knew the turnaround would be tight as the final video was to be shown the evening of the second day at the Awards ceremony.  The morning of the second day was spent filming the nominee’s Dragonboat racing in St.Helier harbour which was captured and cut into the previous day’s edit. Music and some sound effects for the motion were added and the final video was supplied at the venue of the award show, a mere 34 hours after filming began.

Wonderland

We were recently instructed to design a range of materials for a private clients Birthday Party. The Theme was Alice in Wonderland (Alison’s Wonderland). The client wanted a vintage theme based closeley to the original Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson to his mates)masterpiece. The following images are for the invitation but there are many parts to this cracking job which will be updated as soon as they are back from the finishers. All of these invitations were crafted by our fair hands using only; Antique alabaster materials, Scalpels and Diamond stickers which was truly refreshing to take a step back from the Trusty Apple Mac.

Hand drawn Architectural Rendering’s

Architect Paul Rudolph (1918-1997) was known for his much-loved (and loathed) Brutalist yet spatially complex buildings. As one of the pioneering figures of the ‘Sarasota School of Architecture’ in the late 1940s, Rudolph gained a worldwide audience with his innovative design for the modern American home. His best known architectural masterpieces are the Yale School of Architecture, the Boston Government Center and the Crawford Manor. By the late 70’s and into the 90’s, Rudolph who was unmoved by the Post-modern dominance in architecture, steadfastly continued to design powerful Modernist structures now gracing the urban skylines of the Far East.
